If that wasn’t a grand ass intro I don’t know what is. When Dexterity drops a Hip Hop Reggae joint he’s like E.F. Hutton…people listen. Not only can you count on the skills you can count on some real exclusive shit and one of the best overall mixtape “packages” in the game today aka cover work, shrink wrap and CD printing. I’d tell the mass of DJs to take “notes” but cats now don’t know their ass from their elbow so I’ll just let Dexterity keep murdering you silently.

If you read the reggae reviews I do you know I can’t fuck with Elephant Man but Dexterity breathed new life into “Dun De Place”…along with Biggie’s “Dead Wrong” as well. I’ll listen to Lady Saw all day…even with Mim’s one hit behind her it’s a straight head nod. You remember I said exclusives right…peep Beniton on “Hype” to see what I was talking about and the flow is wicked too. Same for Mr. Rich on “Who Dem Waan fi Dis”. One of my favorite joints is “Nuh Nyami Nyami”, that’s a classic mixtape flip even if it’s the Lafy Taffy beat. If you can’t get your bounce on to this joint, you might a leaper scared your limbs might fall off and shit. The “Come Around” remix flips Paul Wall, Cypress Hill and Shaggy over that track to name a few…loving how shit echo’s out after each verse too; syringe sold separately. Weed smokers unite over this remix. Bounty Killa beats you in the head with clout on “Killa” borrowing the beat for “I Get Money” on the mix. The joint I had a repeat tho was Beniton’s “Bust Me Gun” over classic Alicia Keys…this is that mixtape music people. It wouldn’t be proper for me not to mention, “You’re A Ho”. Trevor Off Key did his thing like a vet. “I bought you champagne and you gave me brain”…lol

Hip Hop and reggae go hand and hand people. It’s a perfect marriage when you got reggae over hip hop beats and vice vesa. Dexterity is know for quality mixtapes with every drop and Hip-Hop Reggae #11 is no different. His place in the mixtape hall of fame has BEEN solidified; this project is just the icing on the cake. This project right here is my new medicine. No lie, I don't think I've been in a better mode than after running this CD back to back a few times. This joint will have your eyes low like you just cop'd a $20 sac but haven't even smoked yet. Truth be told...I hate people; they annoy the hell out of me but I was actually mellowed enough to deal with their bullshit listening to this...props to Dexterity for that.

Cats would never guess that I'm a Culture head but it's true and I'm about to cop some more joints just like it. "Show A Little Love" was my theme music for a good day and a half in my ride. The whole "Truth and Rights" riddim run down was dutch tearing music. "Marijuana" by T.O.K is self-explanatory people this is an anthem of great proportions. The Tear Drop riddim had a little knock to it. Movado on "Lately" was that smooth shit. The Cruising Altitude riddim was the wheel tho, no literally I was whipin' it like I just robbed a bank all while relaxed as hell. I could listen to this section all day man. "High So High" had me rolling for some reason. "It's all about the sess...yes". lol "Let's Get Some High Grade" is my kind of track, straight forward and to the point. I don't think I've ever heard Jah Mason before but he went in on that track. I was in the zone hard when "Over and Over" hit; real mellow vibe.

If you read my reggae reviews, you know I don't know a whole hell of a lot about reggae in general. I know my classics but beyond that, it's all how the music makes me feel. Strictly Vocals 3 is another must have in the Strictly Vocal mixtape series. Do yourself a favor; head over to reggaeplanet.com cop some vocal joints, some classics and $50 sac of some high grade. Rap Mullet Review - The Best Of Sizzla - Dancehall & Culture

"Dexterity ready for the war...war...". That's gotta be one of my favorite drops of any mixtape DJ. Its not even used on here but I just had to say that. You see the title says "official" and truth be told there isn't anything that Dexterity does or puts out that isn't official. I fuck with Sizzla, you fuck with Sizzla, lets peep the best of.


When I think of Sizzla, I think of that rugged raw and real shit. I'm not gonna give you mad highlights either. If you follow dude you know what to expect. On the new tip tho you gotta peep "Solid As A Rock". That's the classic vibe right there. "Marijuana" is still my joint.(no pun) I could listen to that track all day. Not only is the song fly Sizzla breaks it down to the very last compond. On that high energy shit you can fuck with "Pump Up"...the equivilant to an MC rhyming his ass off. The same holds true for "Gun Shot A Buss Pan Rapid Everyday". Sizzla setting the booth on fire and then some. At this point if you haven't decieded to cop this mixtape you might as well see if ebay has an old copy of the Snow maxi single "Informer" you fair weather reggae fan. lol

This project as a whole is just want you want on an artist mixtape. Some new, some old, some "rare" and the classics. Dexterity gives you all that, the mixing and the fact the shit is official. For the slow people out there go directly to Reggae Planet and purchase that realness. "Dexterity ready for the war...war...". I never get sick of that. (9/21/07)
